Nope! You do not need to have your own Zoom account to participate in a call, but you will need to have the software installed on you device.

Yes. You can join a call from your phone, although it is not the easiest user experience. Most people find it easier to join from their computer or tablet.

Yes. Although any adults over 21 are welcome to join, the majority of our participants are 35 - 60 years old.

Yes. The link to join will be available for 30 minutes after the call starts.

Yes. We ask everyone to remain on camera for the majority of the conversation. This is important for maintaining the connected, open Talko environment. 

However, please turn off your camera (and audio) for bathroom breaks.

We want everyone to say hello at least once during the call. If you are not talking, please mute your audio. It's perfectly ok to do more listening than talking.

No. But we encourage embarrassing yourself regularly. Don't take life so seriously. This is a Zoom call full of strangers. Weirdness is welcome.

About 2 hours. You are always welcome to leave early, and stay later.

Yes. Please stay muted unless you're in conversation. Try to reduce background noise. Treat this as a private conversation and avoid having other people in your space. If you feel uncomfortable or have questions, please contact a moderator through chat for help.
